The Leonis Adobe Museum is proud to introduce the Passport 2 History program. This program unites many historical and cultural venues in Central & Southern California, introducing visitors to the wealth of historical places, artifacts and stories in the area. It also encourages patrons to explore and build on the connection between each location. Throughout their journey, passport holders may be entitled to special benefits and gifts at each location and gain the greatest prize of all – a deeper love and understanding of our past and the rich history of Central & Southern California.

  • What is the Passport 2 History Program?

    The Passport 2 History program connects museums across Southern & Central California. Anyone is welcome to buy a passport booklet and join the program. The program also includes a monthly email newsletter to update the community on special events, new exhibits, and more across our partner sites.

  • How does Passport 2 History Work?

    Passport holders are invited to visit as many locations as possible and have their passports stamped. Visitors receive prizes when they earn 25, 50, and all of their passport stamps. Additional discounts and special benefits may be available at some participating locations. Please see each site’s page for applicable discounts.

  • Where Can I Get a Passport?

    You can purchase a passport booklet at any of the participating sites. Browse the sites by county above. You can also get a passport shipped to you by purchasing one below from the Leonis Adobe Museum.

  • Where Do I Start?

    Your adventure can begin at any of the participating historical sites. You can plan your visits in a way that works best for you. Be sure to visit each site’s website to get directions, see their visiting hours, rules and more.

  • How Do I Use My Passport?

    Make sure to take your booklet with you when you plan to visit a partner site. When you arrive, let the staff know you’re a passport holder. Some sites might offer ticket discounts or other benefits for Passport 2 History members. You will also get a special stamp from the site to signify that you’ve been there. Collect stamps to win prizes!

  • How Much Does Passport 2 History Cost?

    To join the program, it is a one-time fee of $5 to purchase a booklet. Each site you visit will have their own separate entry costs and other fees. The passport does not cover these. Alternatively, if you have purchased a Leonis Adobe Museum membership, you will get a passport and be a part of the program as a part of your membership fee.

  • What Prizes Do I Get?

    After earning 25 and 50 site stamps contact us here at the Leonis Adobe Museum to get a special prize basket. If you visit all of the participating sites you will receive a free brunch voucher for the Sagebrush Cantina.

  • How Many Places Are in the Passport?

    Currently there are 85 participating sites. You can view them all above. If you represent a museum that would like to join the Passport 2 History program, please reach out to us here.
