Lecture Series Continues...

On February 21st, Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site presented the first lecture in the series titled, Remembering The Civil War: Perspectives on Race, Place, and Movement. It was well attended and well received. Thank you, sincerely, for the editorial support for the program.
The series continues on March 21st with Dr. David Miller’s lecture, “’A thralldom grievous and intolerable’: Slavery, the American Civil War, and the Legacy of Race.” On April 18th, Dr. Glenna Matthews will present “The Civil War and the Birth of Modern California,” and Dr. Todd W. Wahlstrom will close the series with his lecture, “North and South to the Border: Yankees, Confederates, and Mexico after the Civil War,” on May 16th.
Lectures begin at 10 AM and last 90 minutes, including time for questions and answers. Tickets are $7, and $5 for students with ID. Reservations are encouraged, but attendees pay for admission at the door.
